I had been feeling rather smug at the start of the week as I thought that the cold that had been threatening over the weekend had been defeated and let me be. Obviously, it was just lulling me into a false sense of security because it hit me like a snotty train last night. Joy. So I’ve been googling again and I thought I’d write a roundup of pregnancy-friendly cold remedies.
Well, it seemed like a good idea, but it appears there really aren’t that many!
The NHS website gives advice on taking paracetamol during pregnancy. Personally, I’d prefer to avoid it, especially during the first three months. A headache won’t last forever – time to power through!
Update: I’ve just read that a runny nose can be a sign of pregnancy (who knew?!) which gave me a brief swell of hope – however I think the incessant sneezing and being unable to breathe through one nostril, coupled with that fact that hubby had a cold come out over the weekend, might be a greater sign that it is, in fact, just a cold 🙁
I wouldn’t even take a strepsil when I was pregnant, so these are fab tips. Thanks for linking up to #TheList x
Thanks. I do think you can never be too careful! Thanks for hosting x
