Keeping Cool & Looking Cute with George at Asda

June 21, 2017

I always have a panic when the weather changes as usually all of the clothes that I have for Little M are very much appropriate for the current weather conditions – she’s been living in an array of long sleeves, leggings and heavy denim skirts with tights – completely inappropriate for this gorgeous weather we’ve been having! On the other hand, it’s an opportunity to expand her wardrobe, and who doesn’t like doing that?! So we were delighted when George at Asda sent Little M some cute little dresses to help us through this heatwave!

Asda have such a cute array of girls’ clothing this season, and the majority of it comes in at under £10, making it a total bargain, too. I bought a three pack of sleeveless vests last week for just £2.75 and was surprised by the quality and finish that they were able to provide at that price. They’ve washed well too, keeping their shape unlike other budget brands that I’ve tried.  Anyway, I digress!

The dresses that George at Asda sent for Little M are just gorgeous. The first is this pretty floral print tiered dress, which starts at just £6.

I love the crochet detail which is pretty, without being too girly; the dress is 100% cotton, which makes it feel lovely and soft; perfect for hanging out in the shade on a warm day. I also like that it’s a nice long, stretchy dress – I can’t stand it when nappies are on display! This keeps Little M’s nappy well hidden while still allowing the air to circulate for her. My very favourite thing about this dress, though, is that the button fastening is elasticated, making it the easiest dress in the world to do up!

The other dress that we were sent for Little M was this pretty broderie anglaise hem dress, which is priced from £10. It has such lovely, delicate details, including a beautiful button down back and a lovely layer of netting (between cotton, keeping it comfy) for bit of extra oomph.

We sized up to 12-18 months for both of these dresses, and as you can see this one is a little on the large side for Little M at the moment, so I would definitely recommend sticking to your child’s usual size. I can’t wait until it fits her properly, as I think it’s currently my favourite thing in her wardrobe!

George at Asda also kindly sent us the gorgeous little shoes that you can see Little M playing with in the above photograph. They’re from their First Walkers range and are an absolute bargain at £15, considering that they are real leather. They look very well made and have a flexible sole with plenty of grip. Unfortunately Little M has midget feet and didn’t even register a size 2 on the measuring scale when we took her to have her feet measured. George at Asda start their First Walkers range at size 3, so hopefully by the time Little M is walking her feet will have grown to fit them!

Disclosure: Asda sent us these beautiful dresses and shoes in order for us to provide an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I adore Asda clothes. I own loads for myself (including their fab jeans) and the kids wardrobes are full of George at Asda clothes. But I never knew that they did first walker shoes. Little Mister H is cruising and will walk if we hold his hand. I’m sure he’ll be off any day now, so I might have to take a look. Hugs Lucy xxxx PS I love those dresses. So unbelievably cute. x

I don’t own any Asda clothes for myself; our store doesn’t seem to have a very large selection. Perhaps I’ll have to have a look online, especially if you rate their jeans!
