Living Arrows 10/52

March 6, 2017

This week has been about teething again. It’s never ending, isn’t it? I obviously knew it would take some time for all of Little M’s teeth to come through but some googling in the early hours (when I was up with a teething baby, obviously) has alerted me to the harsh reality: it takes around two years for all of their teeth to come through. Two years. Two years. Two years.

Fortunately one of Little M’s too teeth has popped through this week, but I think it’s the other, more stubborn one that’s refusing to quite cut that’s causing the sleepless nights. Poor love. I just have to keep reminding myself that she’s in pain and the old mantra from the early days: it’s temporary.

On a lighter note, we had our first Pancake Day with Little M on Tuesday, and boy was she excited about her banana pancake! I think more so because mummy and daddy were having pancakes too (although ours had a few more ingredients; Little M’s was half a mashed banana mixed with a beaten egg).

This isn’t the greatest of photos, taken in terrible light, but I love it because she just looks so excited about her pancake and it also shows her little characteristics – the outstretched fingers; the drinking cup shoved in the baby seat of her Tripp Trapp for storage.

We had such a lovely dinner time and this photo brings all those feelings to the surface – and the annoyances of teething are easily forgotten.

Teething is an absolute nightmare! She looks very impressed to be getting a pancake x #livingarrows

  2. Oh Miss M looks adorable as she is waiting for delivery of her pancakes. Piglet seems to be gaining her teeth in a random order and boy does it feel like it is going on forever.

  3. Oh bless her, that’s such a lovely photo, she really does look so happy to be having pancakes! Teething is miserable though, I’m glad we’re out the other side of that now. Although my 5 year old is almost at the stage of wobbly teeth, which is a whole new ball game! x #LivingArrows

  4. Pancake is exciting! And a fab pic as usual! Love your theme and your little one is growing so fast! #LivingArrows

I am so glad she’s so happy despite the teething – and everyone loves pancake day don’t they?! She looks so happy! x

  7. How amazing is it sharing pancakes with your favourite little people? This is why I couldn’t wait to start Weaning, sharing my love for food is so important to me. Hope all the teeth come through BEFORE she hits two. It’s just a long drawn out process.

Aw she is just gorgeous – damn teething – it really is never ending, although by the time they get to two it seems a distant memory – sorry that probably sounds so long away right now! x
