This week has been about tackling Little M’s sleep issues. As I wrote last week, her sleeping pattern has been going steadily downhill since we moved her into her own room, and by Wednesday night we had reached breaking point. Since then, we’ve started implementing a new sleep routine for her, and things have started to improve, certainly at night.
Having said that, an earlier bedtime means and earlier get up, which we’re I’m not loving so much! But at least we’re getting a decent amount of uninterrupted sleep, so I shan’t complain. Now we just need to sort out the daytime naps, but I’m not sure that’s going to get sorted so quickly, as life tends to get in the way during the day.
I’ll write more about the approach we’ve taken to sleep training (gosh, I hate even uttering those words, but that’s what it is I suppose) at the end of the week, or maybe next week if it takes longer to get sorted.
For today’s Living Arrows I’m going to share this photo of Little M from Saturday afternoon. She’s been doing this ‘yay!’ pose for a couple of weeks now but always when I’ve been playing with her while hubby has been at work, or in another room, so he always misses it. Which is a shame as it’s so cute!
Anyway, Little M was on top form at lunchtime on Saturday and repeatedly celebrated her peanut butter on toast. Which of course went down a storm with hubby. I managed to quickly grab a photo while she was mid cheer. We’ve both agreed that she’s been generally happier during the day since we’ve been stricter with the sleep schedule so hopefully it’s paying off and we’ll get those daytime naps sorted soon!
This photo is just adorable, what a great capture. She looks so happy and please with herself.
This is such a great photo. It just screams out “RESULT!” Makes me smile. #LivingArrows
Oh that’s so sweet! Well done on capturing it quickly I love the way they celebrate!! Hope the sleep training has gone well I may need that post if Kipper doesn’t improve!! #LivingArrows
Oh how cute is this pose? She really does look pleased with herself #livingarrows
What a brilliant photo! I’m glad things are improving on the sleep front – I really hope it carries on for you. #LivingArrows
I’m so glad her sleep is improving. Love that shot of her – she is growing just so fast! x
I know, it’s scary how quickly she’s growing! x
This is the cutest photo ever! I love her ripply arms and overjoyed face! 🙂 I think sleep does get to a point where you just can’t carry on like you are. It’s so tricky to find out how to encourage them to have a better routine! Wah. Good luck! #LivingArrows
