Living Arrows 15/52 {2019}

April 15, 2019

Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.

Last week was mostly a mixture of days out and sorting out the house. I’ve been itching to finish decluttering since B moved into her own room, but it’s difficult to do anything effectively with a two year old and a one year old in tow! But having Matthew off work this week has provided us with an opportunity to make a bit of progress with our home improvements.

We’ve done terribly boring things like tidying up the garden and cleaning the patio and I’ve reorganised a few shelves. It’s by no means finished, though, so hopefully I’ll get a bit more done next week!

As for days out, we took a trip to the beach on Friday, but it was absolutely freezing cold, so not really much of a success! On Saturday, the girls and I took a walk with my friend in the woods at Blickling Hall, which is where I took this week’s photos. This woodland is well-known for its huge swathes of bluebells, but unfortunately we were a week or two early for them, and only a few had started to bloom.

M’s photograph was taken by my friend. M absolutely adores her, which I think you can tell by M’s smile in this picture! It was another cold day, but we wrapped up warm. It was certainly a case of April showers, but the showers we experienced were hail!

Matthew, our resident weather watcher, has promised me that we’re due a lovely warm spell next weekend, so I’m hoping that materialises!

A weekly photo diary of our daughters' lives, age one and two. This week, we've been searching for bluebells.
