Living Arrows 43/52 {2019}

October 28, 2019

Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.

I saw something at the weekend that said we are exactly two months away from Christmas. How can this be?! I have done a tiny bit of shopping in preparation (although I can’t think of it as Christmas shopping until at least 1st December!), but I was determined to be organised this year, to try to keep stress levels low once the final month of the year actually starts.

We’ve just had our half term holiday and it’s been a much-needed break for Matthew. We haven’t had as many family days out as we would have liked, but we did manage to have a day out on the Bure Valley Railway on Friday, which is when B’s photo was taken. It’s not the best composition, but I love her little face and how this photograph reminds me of how excited she was to be on the train.

Despite the wet weather that we had for most of the week, we managed to make our own fun, indoors. M’s photograph is an ‘outtake’ from our Spooky Halloween Counting Tuff Spot that I set up for her last week. I love her little face and how chuffed she is that she’d pegged the correct number of pegs to her ghost!

This week we’re back into routine with the preschool run, which I think might be a bit of a shock to the system, now that the mornings are even darker with the clocks going back yesterday!

    I can’t believe how soon Christmas is – it’s coming round far too quickly! Your girls always love your tuff spot activities! x

    It sounds like you had a much needed relaxing half term. I love that ghost counting activity – it looks like M was loving it too!
