Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
How on earth are we half way through the year already? I feel like I need to start my Christmas shopping now, the way time is whizzing by! This week has gone by in a flash too – I can barely recall what we’ve been up to. I know it’s been a busy one, though, as I’ve been struggling to fit in all of the things that I’ve needed to do.
This week’s photo of M was taken while she was playing with the Aquabeads for this week’s Pondering Playtime activity. She is completely in love with Aquabeads at the moment. In fact, I can hear her asking Daddy to play with them now! I think this photo shows how much fun she was having. It was a pretty easy activity to set up, too, so wins all round!
M has been really impressing us with her speech this week. She’s only just turned two, but she’s already coming out with sentences like, “B might do Parkrun when she’s older,” out of nowhere! Amazing considering just a few months ago we were wondering if she’d have the 50 word vocabulary we’d heard children are supposed to have by this age. She amazes us every day!
As for B, this week’s photo features her 3 months old milestone card. She was actually three months old a whole week before this photograph was taken. See what I mean about not having any time to do anything?! I wanted to feature it this week though for two reasons. Firstly, I like to have the milestones recorded on the blog for posterity, and secondly, I think it goes nicely with M’s photo.
B has been a superstar this week, too. On Thursday we went to the hospital for her to have a bath, and she had her Pavlik harness changed for the next size up. She’s still taking it all completely in her stride and has even started sleeping through the night more consistently. B is such a chilled out baby and loves having kisses and cuddles from her big sister. She’s even started trying to giggle this past week, which is very cute! We’re very lucky to have two such smiley girls!
Such a cute picture of B and M looks super cheeky. I know what you mean this year is really flying by.
Thank you. I saw on Facebook last night about how there’s only six months until Christmas – I think it will be here before we know it!
Oh they both just look so happy! We’ve never tried aquabeads – maybe I should get some 🙂 #LivingArrows
They are great fun, although I’m trying to work out what to do with them once they’ve come to the end of their useable lives!
Oh I love M’s face in that photo – she is in her element! And I can’t believe B is 3 months already, where has the time gone?! x
Time is whizzing by! B is such a content little thing, she’s making life with two pretty straightforward (for the moment!) x
We love water beads! Monkey would still happily play with them even now. I’ve not tried them with Kipper yet – must do it!!
They are so much fun – M has played with them almost every day since I set this up.
