Living Arrows {2018} 43/53

October 22, 2018

Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.

We spent the weekend at Center Parcs, so last week was mostly about preparing for that. The weekend itself has been lovely, although we are still adjusting to holidaying with two small children!

Everything seems to take so much longer that we expect, and M has gone back to having mammoth two hour naps, which takes up a big chunk of the afternoon. On Sunday, all we really managed to do was have a nice walk and go for lunch!

M’s photograph was taken on this walk. She is really into dancing at the moment, and her imagination dictated that the low fence bordering the path was a ballet barre. She spent ages putting her leg up on the ‘barre’, carefully placing her arms, then stepping down and twirling around.

This photograph doesn’t really do it justice, but most of the photographs I took were blurry, as she was moving so quickly!

B’s photograph was taken at the lodge. She has been trying to crawl for a couple of weeks now, but still isn’t quite there. Each time she tries, she ends up pushing herself backwards and then gives up and rolls to get wherever she wants to go. She’s starting to push herself up higher on her hands and knees though, so I think she’ll be doing it soon enough!

We’re travelling back home today after a quick (or possibly not so quick!) trip to the swimming pool. We’ve really enjoying staying here, though, so I’m certain we’ll be back again!

A weekly photo diary of our daughters' lives, at seven months and two and a half years. This week, B turned seven months and we've had a little family break away.

B is still not quite there, but I’m sure it will only be a matter of time. We’ve already booked Center Parcs again for next year!

I am so jealous of your Center Parcs break – I can’t wait to take the children back again! x

Your little one is such a cutie! Did you have fun at Center Parcs? We went when my eldest was 7 months old and have not been back since! #LivingArrows
