Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
Last week was half term and it was absolutely wonderful. Matthew had a successful interview a few days before half term, and I think that good news coupled with some lovely weather has kept us all happy, all week.
We’ve had such a busy week, as we’ve been out somewhere every day. We’ve visited Thrigby Hall, How Hill, Sheringham beach and High Lodge Thetford Forest.
M’s photograph was taken at How Hill, in the main gardens of the house. M was really taken with this owl carving. I love this photograph as M is really expressive when she talks, and her gesticulations are captured perfectly here. I also love the way that B is taking in everything that M is telling her about the owl.
B’s photograph was taken at Sheringham beach. Sheringham beach is a mixture of large pebbles, rocks and sand. B was completely enamoured with this big stone, and spent most of our time at the beach running around carrying it, then dropping it and picking it up again.
I have a feeling that today we’re very much going to come back down to Earth with a bump! Thank goodness we have the summer holidays to look forward to. Just seven and a half weeks to go!
It looks like you had such a lovely half term – and great news on the interview too! x
Thank you, we are so pleased for Matthew. Half term feels like a distant memory, now! x
Glad to hear you had a lovely half term – and congratulations again to Matthew! #LivingArrows
