Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
I’ve had a much-needed break away from blogging this past week. It’s allowed me to have more sleep, feel less stressed and set up a new routine for B to help us get M to preschool on time each morning. I wanted to keep going with Living Arrows at least until the end of the year, though, because I don’t like leaving things unfinished.
This week’s Living Arrows photographs were both taken at the weekend. B’s photograph was taken on Saturday morning, as she endeavoured to get as much peanut butter on her face as possible.
M’s photograph was taken on Sunday, as we went for a family walk to Whitlingham Broad. She is wearing a princess mask, which she received in her first ever party bag at her first ever party on Saturday. I was a princess party, and it’s really left a lasting impression! She’s got another birthday party to attend later this week, which she’s already looking forward to.
Then of course this week is also the last week of term, so we’ve got all of the chaos of the Christmas holidays and festivities to look forward to! I promised myself I’d be super organised this year, but I’ve still got a few bits of Christmas shopping left to do!
