Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
What a festive week we’ve had! Last week was full of Christmas. M had her preschool Christmas show on Wednesday, and Matthew is now off work for the Christmas holidays. But we’ve also had three birthdays to celebrate in the past week! My dad’s, Matthew’s mum’s and one of M’s little friends, which mean that she and B had a birthday party to attend. It was a very lovely but very busy week!
This weekend we’ve been at Center Parcs. It was lovely but unfortunately B has been suffering from a very high temperature, so that has taken the shine off it a bit as I’ve been so worried about her. It’s also meant that we’ve only visited the pool once. Thank goodness we’ve already booked to come again next year, or I’d be really upset. It can’t be helped though, and the most important thing is that B is looked after.
We’ve still managed to have some fun. B’s photograph was taken in our lodge, when a deer came to say hello. B was really taken by it and spent a long time chatting to it through the glass.
M’s photograph was taken at a ballet class she took part in. I was really impressed by how well she copied the moves of the teacher, and she was completely engrossed in following the story and pretending to be a fairy ballerina.
We’re heading home today and I’m hoping that B is much better in time for Christmas Day!
