We’ve had a lovely week this week as I’ve not had any teaching work booked in so we’ve had the whole week to just chill out. I’ve been trying to go out more so we’ve been out for some nice walks around the thunderstorms this week, and on Saturday we had a lovely family outing to Great Yarmouth.
While in Great Yarmouth, we visited the Sea Life Centre (review here!) and spent a little bit of time on the beach, too. It was windy at the coast, though, which let to a pretty grumpy hubby as he battled with our beach tent. I’m thinking we might need to invest in a sturdier one, as ours was pretty budget and wasn’t really doing the job!
This week’s Living Arrows photograph is of Little M watching the penguins at the Sea Life Centre. She was pretty taken with them, and kept pointing, squeaking and checking to see if we were watching them, too!
It was so nice to go for a proper family day out at an attraction. We often get out and about to places for walks and picnics, but it was nice to be able to have something different and exciting to do. The only downside was that Little M barely settled for more than 30 minutes of her first nap of the day, then skipped her second because she simply won’t nap if she’s anywhere other than her got. Fortunately, she wasn’t as grumpy in the evening as I was expecting her to be, although she was practically falling asleep while eating her dinner! She must have been tired as she slept all the way through until 9am on Sunday morning (I wish I could say I had a lie in too, but of course I woke up at 7am and spent two hours worrying about why she was sleeping for so long)!
We’re now starting to make plans for the summer holidays as hubby is a teacher too, so we get the whole summer off together. We’re looking forward to visiting some more of the family attractions that Norfolk has to offer!
My son loved the sea life centre when we went last year. We went to the one in London though, little M looks like she is having fun!

Little M enjoyed it, once she’d warmed up! I think it was a bit dark and scary to begin with!

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, actually. I’d like to spend longer there another time, listening to all of the talks and watching the animals being fed!
