Living Arrows 37/52

September 11, 2017

Last week was a bit of reality check as hubby returned to work/school on Monday, so it was just me and Little M at home during the day. We’ve mostly spent the week trying to dodge the rain showers and get out of the house and down to the park as much as possible.

Little M has definitely been missing her daddy, but it’s been interesting to see that she’s become more attached to me again, now that the holidays are over. I seem to be back in favour again! Little M wants lots of cuddles and kisses and doesn’t like it if I’m not right next to her. As in sitting on the floor next to her, even if she’s totally ignoring me and playing with something else!

On Tuesday we experienced a major milestone. Little M had her very first hair cut! This isn’t the best photograph, but I had to take it as a selfie with my free arm as Little M was sitting on my lap, so it was the best I could do. I think it captures her feelings of trepidation, though. After I had taken this, I had to abandon my phone and let her stand up on my lap cuddling me, as she was so worried about what was going on.

As usual, Little M was very good, though, and didn’t try to bat the hairdresser away. She just clung onto me and let her get on with it! I’m not sure that her hair cut has made too much of a difference to Little M’s overall look, but it looks a bit neater and I’m hoping it will start to thicken up now. I’m excited to see in future what her hair style will be like!

We kept some locks of her hair as a keepsake but I have no idea what to do with them….any suggestions?!

Milestones like this are great to commemorate! She looks so grown up (and a bit peeved but the whole experience! Haha!) #LivingArrows

Haha you’re right, sometimes I look at her and think that she looks so grown up, then at other times she looks like my little baby again!

Oh my gosh what a massive milestone. I don’t think Athena had her first hair cut until she was about three and only because Troy has his but she had quite tame hair! x

Gabe is two and still hasn’t had a proper haircut – I’ve just cut a few random bits of while he’s been in the bath a couple of times! I’m glad to hear Little M survived her first haircut unscathed though 🙂 #LivingArrows
