Living Arrows 47/52

November 20, 2017

Having not really taken many photographs for what seems like weeks upon weeks, I took lots this week! Some of them are really special and show Little M’s character brilliantly – but almost all of those aren’t blog friendly! There’s mess in the background, or hubby’s there in his dressing gown, or I’ve taken it in a hurry and the focus isn’t quite right. Or, like this one before I edited it, I’ve taken it by throwing myself on the floor, phone in hand, trying to capture whatever it is that Little M is up to, resulting in ridiculously wonky lines that look just plain wrong.

Fortunately, I was able to straighten it up without chopping Little M’s head off!

I’m not even sure the focus is quite right in this one, to be honest. But I love it, so that’s that! It shows her about to launch herself off the sofa into another bit of walking, which she’s so totally got the hang of this week. I’ve been saying, “I bet when she does it, she’ll just do it, and that will be that!” with regard to her walking for months, while secretly worrying that she may never do it! But this week she has just been toddling about more and more, and by Sunday she actually seemed to be walking more than crawling. Hurrah!

I love the colour in this photograph, too. From Little M’s gorgeous Lilly and Sid outfit (more on that another time!) to the Grimm’s rainbow we were playing with (okay, it was mostly me playing with it, but Little M enjoyed knocking down my various creations!).

I’m teaching two consecutive days this coming week, so I imagine I’ll be back to trying to squeeze in a photo where I can. I’m hoping Black Friday will bring some camera-related bargains, too, so I can upgrade from my phone to a ‘proper’ camera! I can’t make any guarantees that they’ll be any less blurry or wonky, though…!

Daisy was a little on the ‘slow’ side for walking but then she got it and was off! I’m sure little M will be the same now. #LivingArrows

Thank you – she does seem to be getting the hang of it, although she has reverted back to crawling so far today after walking *everywhere* yesterday!

  2. Yay well done M! S was a very late walker but once she did it she was off. L has been on the go since 10 months and its tough going haha! #LivingArrows

Ha yes lots of people had been telling me to enjoy it while it lasted! Not sure I’m looking forward to two going off in opposite directions with only one of me!!

This photo is absolutely perfect to me. She looks so big, it shows her walking and the colours are beautiful! What a perfect little lady you have x

Great colours. What a lovely photo showing how confident she is becoming with her walking.

Aww bless her – I love her outfit, and glad to hear you’ve been having fun with the rainbow, I really should make more of an effort to get ours out more often! #LivingArrows

I was trying to do the collapsing thing that you had on your Instastories but I couldn’t get it to work – mind you, I did have M ‘helping’, so gave up fairly quickly!

Seeing this photo has just sent me down a Amazon rabbit warren looking for that amazing rainbow! Well done M, I always think they seem to make the leap from baby to toddler when they start walking.

Ah did you find it?! They are quite tricky to get hold of – we got ours last year from Babipur. I hope you manage to find one! Yes, I think you’re right, she seems so much more grown up since she’s been walking.

  7. I’m always jumping around trying to take a good photo, it’s so much harder with little ones who don’t sit still and bad lighting though! This is gorgeous though, I LOVE the bright colours x
