My first linky!

September 21, 2015

Now I’ve emerged into the Twitterverse I thought I’d give a linky a go, and where better to start than with ‘The List’ linky hosted by Aby at You Baby, Me Mummy and Hannah from Mums’ Days.

We’ve had a busy weekend eating out a few times, it’s been the hubby’s birthday and I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather. With this in mind and considering my obsessive Googling, I thought I’d make a list entitled:

Things I’ve Googled this week:

  1. Gluten free lemon cake recipes
  2. Foods to avoid during pregnancy
  3. Does bulgar wheat contain gluten? (Sounds obvious that it does, but I was faced with a waiter insisting it was on their gluten free dishes list. FYI – it does!)
  4. Can having a cold affect conception? (Apparently not, but taking decongestants can apparently dry up mucus membranes that create a ‘friendly’ environment for sperm – so might be worth avoiding)
  5. Is it safe to take paracetamol when pregnant? (Apparently yes, but the lowest possible dose only if you really need to and not mixed with caffeine. More info can be found here on the NHS website.)

Obviously, there’s more than a fair dose of paranoia in there as of course I don’t actually know if I’m pregnant this month – I’ll probably feel like a right numpty if/when my period rears its ugly head! But, you can never be too careful…right?

Thanks Aby and Hannah – I hope I’ve done this right! 🙂

  1. Hi seems to me you’ve done your first linky perfectly! Welcome to the linky world of crazy blogging. Great list by the way, I remember googling loads when I was trying for our babies. I might have googled during, after and in the first few years of having the babies too! Love Google. I’m next to you in the link up! Lizzie #thelist
